MLK had a dream, and so do I. I want to use technology more in school. A lot more. Why? Because it is more efficient. Because it is the way students will be working in their careers. Because it's faster and paperless (and I hate piles of paper!). Because it is more interactive than paper. Because it is more visual than paper. Because I hate reading poor handwriting. Because I love when students create professional presentations, articles, and video, and they love it too. Because I don't have as many problems with student behavior when she is using technology. Because... Because... Because... I could go on and on. But I want to hear what you think.
How can we use technology better in school? How is technology used in your dream school? What technology should all students have? What software should they have? How should we communicate? We dont need new equipment as far as technology goes. The technology in our school is just fine. We dont need new, fancy, and so sophisticated that we wont be able to use the device.
ReplyDeleteone way we can use technology in school is by doing our assignments in the computer and then sending it to the teacher. this will help the teacher because she wont have so many papers on her desk. theyll be saved in the teacher's folder. this is a way we can use technology in school.
ReplyDeleteTechnology is increasing and there are more electronics that can do more than the old ones. Mostly all of the schools have a computer lab for students to use. Technology is really awesome even though sometimes it might be used as a form of cyberbullying someone else. At school I think the students should only use the computers when it is needed or were very good and the teacher lets them. In my dream school technology is used as a learning tool. I imagine a whole building full of computers. Also it is like a library because any person could go unless they don't report to the office.

We should communicate by our own e-mail.No things are alright how they are thats how they are. Thats how technology should improve.

ReplyDeleteLets get somthing strat. If teachers want to get more tecnolagy they must tech the students how to tipe. It is unexeptabel that thechers do not tech students how to tip. Schools shoud get I pabs. They give you grate acses to books and rightings. Techers shoud also let stodents yous vidow camras to do progecs. Each student need a cell phone. It gives theme a quike calkulater and techers can give homework to ill students. Tech is the fucher.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you technology should be used in schools more often. It is way quicker for the students to type there things than writting them by hand. For sure it would be way more neater. The writting gets messy because, they are too lazy or just in a hurry to get it done. Using Technology would be a way funner way for the students to learn. It really boring to have to see the teacher write in the white board writing in all of those boring colered markers,and sometimes they don't even work. It is really fun for the students to be able to try new things.
ReplyDeleteWell to start with technology is fun for kids.Also,its important becuase mostly everything we use is technology, so what can we do without technology.So,technology can entertain many people like it can help them learn about it and they might of copied some tips about it,so whenever they have trouble with it they can just remember that they took tips on it and just fix it they dont have to call in some guy that he will propobly cost you more than you thought.Finally, the last thimg that everybody uses thats technology is Cell Phones,Laptops and many more.
ReplyDeleteTechnolgy is a big thing in life without it we would not be typing this and there would not be as many jobs as there is right now.And it helps us with many things and learning and keeps us entertained when,we have nothing to do.Technolgy is very important and we need to use it more offten.Whoever invented it we shoud be very thankful.

ReplyDeleteWell, having technology in school is a good idea and a bad idea. The good idea is what Mr.Kringel said it could help in the future and students and teachers can help each other with problems or questions. The bad idea is that, it could be a distraction. For example, kids won't bother to listen to their teachers even more. One thing I think that kids should have in my "Dream School" are laptops, kids can do their homework,class work and projects and won't give the teacher a hard time with poor hand writing. Yes, I know that most people can't afford a laptop, but the school could provide them with one it doesn't have to be perfect or kids can do fun raisers for them.Well that is my opinion I don't know what others think.

Many students don't even know how to use one because they don't have one at home. All the teachers should also have a smart board that they can use. We should get the latest technology available.

"Yes" the students should have their won computer to do their homework and the students could send it to their teacher. The technology in schools should be fun and let students use their phone only during breaks because sometimes their is nothing to do during that time. In schools we should be aloud to bring i pods and mp3 so we could also hear during break.
ReplyDeleteTechnology is very useful, and i agree with you that the students like, i do like doing presentations, but some students can be shy. Why can't students just present it to you personally. The should miss their break time so they can show it to you without the whole audience.But I also think it isn't fair that you get to miss your break to listen to them but I know that you are going to enjoy it
ReplyDeleteso far i think school technology is good and i dont think we need new technology but if we did i would prefer technology to like help us study and learn more in a fun way as in games but not normal school games im talking about real fun games that kids get excited to play like for example in pe teachers can use like some sort of fun interactive game.the school should also have better computors with funner things to do maybe students will get more excited to the computor instead of being anooyed going to the computor knowing they are going to do some boring project.
ReplyDeleteOur technolgy lab is perfect at our school.I dont think we should change it or get neew items.My technolgy in my dream school is the way it will be at our school.We could commnicate on websites nd the internet that may be helpful.But, we dont need to always use technolgy to communicate.we could use the phone,we could go out together technolgy maybe helpful at school bout when we are at home not always.

I think we should all be treated equal so everyone should have the same technology around the world instead of Japan or China. Everyone around the world should have advanced technology. In my dream world, technology would be with fun technology as in fun educational games.

Another reason is that students should be able to use cellphone ONLY during break or lunch and that's all. also technology is very useful now in days because everywhere your at their is people using laptops, cellphones etc.
ReplyDeletei think that technology is a good way to learn but the economy is low...we should use the technology in people that really want to learn ...because THINK if we spend to much money on the kids that might destroy the equipment???...according to my calculations and my given knowledge that wouldn't be fair..we should work hard and give the students who really want to learn the opportunity to live their dreams.......yeah that's true everyone has to be treated equal,but (in my opinion) im tired of students who mess around with the given equipment and don't realized the privilege that they have in having technology..and how many many many. money the government is wasting in those kids....also its not fair that the state or the country is wasting money in broken equipment every year..........lets dream in technology in a good way by realizing .......not just dreammmm........i know everyone is tire of piles of paper but how cant give every one the privilege...they have to earn it....(in my opinion)
